Software Developer Interns 2x

Purpose of the Job

The Software Developer Interns will support the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions within the Technology Department. The role provides an opportunity for motivated and aspiring software developers to gain practical, hands-on experience in a professional and fast-paced technology environment.
The successful candidates will work closely with experienced developers and technical teams, gaining exposure to the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Development

●  Assist in the design, development, and implementation of software applications and solutions.
●  Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code under supervision.
●  Assist with developing new features and enhancements to existing applications.
●  Support the integration of software applications and systems.

2. Testing and Debugging

●  Assist with testing software applications to identify and resolve defects.
●  Debug and troubleshoot application issues under the guidance of senior developers.
●  Participate in quality assurance and user acceptance testing activities.
●  Document identified issues and assist with implementing appropriate solutions.

3. System Support and Maintenance

●  Assist with the maintenance and enhancement of existing software applications.
●  Provide technical support and assistance in resolving software-related issues.
●  Monitor application performance and report potential issues to the relevant team members.
●  Assist with system updates, deployments, and configuration where required.

4. Documentation and Collaboration

●  Maintain accurate technical and development documentation.
●  Participate in development meetings and project discussions.
●  Collaborate with developers, project teams, and other stakeholders.
●  Stay up to date with emerging technologies, programming practices, and industry trends.

Job Requirements

●  Currently pursuing or recently completed a qualification in Software Development, Information Technology, or a related field.
●  Basic understanding of software development principles and programming concepts.
●  Familiarity with at least one programming language.
●  Basic understanding of databases, APIs, and version control is an advantage.
●  Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
●  Proficiency in Power platforms, Power Apps and Power BI
●  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
●  Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
●  Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.
●  Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
●  Passion for technology and software development.

Brief Description

Salt Essential IT is looking for a driven and commercially minded Commercial Expansion Development Executive to identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities that support the company’s strategic growth objectives.
The role will be responsible for driving revenue growth through new business development, customer acquisition, market expansion and strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with prospective clients and stakeholders, identify emerging market opportunities, develop compelling proposals and contribute to positioning Salt’s value proposition competitively in the market.

Key Performance Areas:

●  New Business Development & Market Expansion – Identify and convert new business opportunities, expand into new markets and segments, and contribute to revenue growth.
●  Strategic Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement – Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and key stakeholders, and negotiate mutually beneficial partnerships.
●  Market Analysis & Research – Conduct market research, monitor industry trends and provide actionable insights to support strategic business decisions.
●  Proposal & Tender Management – Develop and submit high-quality proposals and tenders while ensuring accuracy, competitiveness and compliance with requirements.
●  Transformation & Sustainability Initiatives – Support initiatives that contribute to organisational transformation, sustainable business practices and long-term growth.

Minimum Requirements:

●  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing or a related field.
●  A postgraduate qualification in Business Development, Strategy or a related field will be an added advantage.
●  5–7 years’ proven experience in business development, commercial expansion, strategic partnerships or a related role, preferably within the IT or telecommunications industry.
●  Demonstrated track record of generating new business, developing markets and building strategic partnerships.
●  Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and analytical ability.
●  Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and networking skills.
●  Strong client relationship management and proposal development skills.
●  Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience will be an advantage.
●  Valid Driver’s Licence.
●  Willingness and ability to travel as required.

  Junior Empowerment Specialist

The Opportunity

Salt Essential IT is looking for a Junior Empowerment Specialist to join our Empowerment team.
The role is focused on helping our customers get the most value from Salt’s collaboration, productivity and cybersecurity solutions. You will support the technical setup and deployment of applications, deliver engaging training and enablement sessions, and work closely with customers to drive confident and effective technology adoption.
You will engage with a diverse range of audiences — from general employees and management teams to executives, board members and external audiences such as school children and the elderly.

Key Responsibilities

●  Deliver customer training and enablement sessions, both in-person and virtually.
●  Support the setup and deployment of collaboration and security applications.
●  Empower customers to maximise the value, efficiency and profitability of their technology investments.
●  Customise training approaches and content for different audiences and technology adoption levels.
●  Monitor adoption, engagement and training outcomes and provide relevant reports.
●  Assess customer technology environments and training needs.
●  Provide ongoing guidance and support to strengthen customer confidence and adoption.
●  Collaborate with internal teams, vendors and suppliers to support successful solution deployment.
●  Identify opportunities to introduce relevant Salt services, including FastTrack, Cybersecurity Solutions, Infrastructure Solution Assessments, Workshops and Accelerators.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Requirements:

●  ICT Diploma or equivalent qualification in a related field.
●   At least 2 years’ experience in Information Technology.
●   Practical experience in the setup and deployment of services such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Viva, Adobe Sign, KnowBe4 and Microsoft Power Platform.
●  Experience with cloud services and technology enablement.
●  Strong customer relationship and stakeholder engagement skills.
●  Experience developing and delivering training content.
●  Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
●   Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
●  Ability to work confidently with stakeholders at different organisational levels.
●  Valid Driver’s Licence.
●  Willingness to travel to customer locations when required.
