Actions Taken / Recommended further approach:

On Saturday morning 13th May, we received notification about the attacks being directed at Namibia, and we immediately proceeded to blocking unconditionally all affected incoming Services in order to protect our Customers’ systems, data and resources.

Additionally the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Infrastructure has been updated and and we have enforced updates for all clients.

We would like to encourage all our clients to follow the instructions in the links above (Technet Articles) in order to update all Windows Machines (Workstations and Servers).

As soon as the intensity of the attacks starts to decrease we will enable our Intrusion Protection System and enable all services again (please note that we cannot give an ETA when we will be able to do this).

We would appreciate your support and understanding that our Firewall is currently under a major load and response times will be affected.

Should you be in urgent need of specific applications then please contact our Helpdesk to assist you in restoring the Service.

We apologize for any Inconvenience experienced.
